Starting at Zero: Black Mountain College 1933-57 – Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge

The exhibition has assembled the memories and records of the college’s works in paint, print, dance, pottery, photography, poetry, theatre and music. It exhibits a lot of the works that have been created by the well known designers who attended the college as students or as teachers. Including, Robert Rauschenberg, Willem de Kooning, John Cage, Ray Johnson, Richard Buckminster Fuller and Merce Cunningham.
Josef and Annie Albers work features predominantly as they held central positions at the college from 1933 – 1949.
